The purpose of the Artist Guild of Anchorage is to support and foster creativity of local artists in the visual arts. The Guild will serve its members by providing opportunities to further their artistic knowledge, expand their resources and share expertise with each other at regularly scheduled meetings and coordinated programs throughout the year. We also strive to support artists and art organizations in our community by compensating the studios and galleries we visit and by offering scholarships and awards each year.

Volunteering at the West End School
AGA members Kathleen Matthews, Kathy Finnegan and Jeanne Blackburn volunteered several Thursdays in September.
These three AGA Community Outreach members were honored to collaborate with art classes for 3rd and 4th grade boys and their teacher, Donyalle Jackson, at West End School, serving under-served Louisville Metro Communities. As a scholarship-based independent school, WES maintains a culture of high expectations, integrity, and responsibility, with tuition fully covered by donations.
